Guide to Hiring a Lawyer
How to Choose an AttorneyHow to Choose an Attorney

Selecting the right attorney for a particular case can make all the difference in the world in terms of a successful outcome. Don't be afraid to ask the attorney you are considering hard questions about that attorney's level of experience with the type of case you have. Ask about how long that attorney has been practicing law.

Many of the clients that come to us from other attorneys will tell us that those attorneys will not listen to them or will never return their phone calls. If an attorney is unwilling to listen to you or discuss your case at the very outset, it is unlikely that anything will change later on.

There must also be a considerable level of trust and confidence between you and your attorney. Does the prospective attorney have the reputation as a tough litigator for a case that is going to have to go to trial?

Finally, does this attorney have the legal experience to give you confidence to know that you have somebody on your side to vigorously pursue your case and provide the relief that you deserve? For example, in 2004 half of the attorneys of this law office attended regional trial colleges to advance their skills as litigators. All of these attorneys have more than 10 years of practical legal experience and are not required to make such a commitment. Nevertheless, they did so because of their love for the law and their profession.  Additionally, our most recent attorney to join the Hardy Law Group Team in 2009 has also graduated from Trial Lawyer's College and was one of the youngest individuals accepted to such program to date.

Always, if you have any questions that you would like to ask about the attorney selection process, please feel free to contact one of the attorneys in this office. Naturally, we will be happy to discuss your case with you. If you have the type of case we do not handle, we can provide an appropriate referral.
